NOTD and a new collection

I have a holo skittles mani for you today, with a diagonal French over it. Originally it was just the holo, but when it started to show a little tipwear I decided to give it a new lease on life.

Sunlight

Shade
Unfortunately when I applied topcoat, it smudged the black somewhat and left small streaks on some nails, but I don't think it's too noticeable here.

Due to my less than excellent camera work, you can't really see the holo in these, but let me assure you, it's a fantastic holo. As a matter of fact, I fell so much in love with these particular holos that afterwards I went back and stupidly bought the entire collection. Now that I own all the colors, I would probably use a slightly different combination of skittles here, but I still like what I have on now.

I have only owned one entire collection of something before (Chic Metalix) and I accumulated that one over a couple of months. This is the first time I've bought an entire collection in two days.

Allow me to introduce you to the Italian brand, Pupa Milano:

The warm loving family

The cool kids

Pupa is a cosmetics brand that imports to Israel regularly, although from what I can tell it's not sold in stores in the US/Canada/UK, since I can't seem to find many swatches on English speaking blogs. They're usually priced outside my buying range, but recently they went on sale which is how I justify blowing all that money on an entire collection.

I do plan to properly swatch this collection some time soon, although I almost worry about wasting polish, since these bottles are mini sized- only 5 ml per bottle. For comparison, here's a picture of a Pupa polish next to my old friend Orly Oui:

...yeah
Overall I'm very happy with these, despite my wounded wallet. The colors are lovely, and in most of them the holo is exceptionally strong. I'm actually missing one single polish from this collection, I haven't been able to find it. I doubt I will, since this is a limited edition.

I don't know whether or not I will purchase from Pupa again- on the one hand, they are all really pretty colors (seriously, go look at their Pinterest page), but on the other hand, so expensive! We shall see.

  1. I love your mani and I love holos! Creams are my first love, but holos are a veryclose 2nd! I own about 10 holos and would love to have more. The holos that you've picked up look gorgeous!

    1. I actually only had one proper holo before this, so it's really exciting to have more of them now :D I hope to swatch them tomorrow!

    1. Although if you think about it, large bottles end up drying out towards the bottom anyway, because think how many polishes I have! I couldn't possibly wear all of them. Still, my soul agrees with you.
